Wickham Market (at Campsea Ashe)
The railway station at Wickham Market is
located on the B1078; it is approximately 2 miles from the town centre in
the quiet village of Campsea Ashe. The Dog and Duck pub is opposite the
station forecourt. Ramblers can access both the Deben Valley and Alde
Valley walks from the station. Wickham Market station was once
an important interchange for passengers continuing on to Framlingham
via the branchline that also served Marlesford and Parham.

Valley
The Bentwaters Cold War
Museum is 3 miles east of the station in Rendlesham; it is open
select Sundays. Located on the old RAF Bentwaters site inside a
hardened command post, volunteers have restored the war operations room
and battle cabin. There is memorabilia from the base's
active days, information on the UFO incident at Rendlesham Forest, and scale models
of the aircraft that made Bentwaters their
home.
