Stations
There are
15 stations along the East Suffolk Lines: twelve on the Lowestoft to
Ipswich line, and five on the Ipswich
to Felixstowe Line. Stations at Ipswich and Westerfield are served by
both lines. All except Lowestoft and Ipswich are unstaffed. Most have a
car park with free parking at many smaller stations. Each station has
full wheelchair access. For more information,
including facilities and bus connections, click on a station name on the
map to the left.
 Many
stations have been adopted by local residents who see their local
rail lines as a vital link to Suffolk's most rural
areas. The East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership is keen
to work with volunteers in bringing forth ideas that help improve
station facilities, platforms, buildings, and forecourts, no matter how
small the schemes may be.
Adopters at many stations plant and look
after flowers through the Spring, Summer, and Autumn. Flowers and
tubs are provided by the Partnership; adopters provide the elbow
grease. There is no financial contribution expected from the adopter,
just a commitment to submit a periodic checklist. Adopters receive a
complimentary rail pass for their efforts.
