Improvements Complete at Woodbridge Station

Passengers
using Woodbridge Station will now find it much easier to make connections
between trains and buses. A £250,000 project to improve the rail and bus
interchange, increase safety, and expand parking is now
complete.
A bus stop and shelter have
been constructed on the station forecourt allowing buses to stop right at
the railway station for the first time. Pedestrian access to the station,
taxi office, station hotel, cafe, and Tourist Information Centre have
also been improved. The project also saw the creation of 12 additional
parking spaces along with a link to the car park behind the community
hall and swimming pool.
The project was funded by Suffolk County Council,
Suffolk Coastal District Council,
and Network Rail, with private
sector funds from Quaypoint for the link
road.
